Personalized Learning

We offer students a tuition-free educational pathway tailored to their unique needs and interests.

Home School

1. Our goal is to ignite a love for learning that lasts a lifetime by turning every environment into a safe and supported educational space.

2. Not every student learns the same way or at the same pace. NC Cyber Academy makes it easy for families to help shape their students’ educational journeys, leveraging their strengths to foster greater success.

3. Our students benefit from the structure live learning provides, while also being able to enjoy the freedom and flexibility of on-demand learning.

4. We’ve worked hard to reduce the student-teacher ratio because we know learners do better when they have more one-on-one interactions with educators.

5. When students struggle, we don’t lower our expectations of them. Instead, we increase the support they receive. Because helping every student reach their potential is also how we reach ours.

Supportive Environment

Students learn best when all their needs are met. That’s why we’ve bolstered our professional support staff and services—making us better equipped to unlock the extent of students’ aptitude.

Remote Team Meeting

1. When the educational system is designed around the student and not the other way around, learners are empowered to flourish.

2. NCCA is focused on optimizing students’ wellbeing, which is why we’ve invested in adding more counselors and school psychologists to our team, along with additional support staff.

Sense of Community

We’re a tight-knit community of educators, learners, and families.

Homework Help

1. Between our blended live and on-demand instruction, real-world educational experiences, and social events, our students have ample opportunity to form friendships and get more involved in their school community.

2.We’re all Cyber Owls around here—and our wings stretch statewide. With students in 96 of NC’s 100 counties, our sense of community and connectedness can’t be confined by the walls of a brick-and-mortar school.

3. Our students have a variety of interests along with many ways to engage and share those with others—both virtually and in person. They can even launch and lead their own student interest group.

4. We’re constantly expanding the ways our students, families, teachers, and staff cometogether to connect by creating more regional activities and in-person events.

Technology + Innovation

We combine technology with innovations in teaching to bring students the most engaging learning experiences.

Homeschooling

1. At NCCA, students can always get support from their teachers and with their technology so nothing slows them down.

2. By leveraging the many ways technology can help us learn, our students are able to maximize the ways in which they can understand concepts—and it gives our teachers more avenues for innovation.

3. We supply our students with the technology they’ll need to succeed in the classroom and prepare them for the jobs of tomorrow.

Perpetual Improvement

Doing Homework

1. No two students are exactly alike, which is why we focus on individual student growth as our primary marker of success.

2. At NCCA, our goal for ourselves and our students is to do a little bit better every day. It’s this drive for progress over perfection that prepares students to achieve more now and in the future..

3. While standardized tests are important, they don’t tell a student’s whole story. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to showcase the amazing strides our students are making every day.

4. Being an independent school district allows NCCA to be more responsive to student and teacher feedback, so we innovate and implement solutions to better support them quickly and easily.
